Finished up week three of project life on Sunday. I really love the addition of the digital portion of project life to my routine this year. I will use digital templates and elements for the weekly title page as I did on the left below.
Here you see the digital side of my layout. I used the project life templates. I continue to use both seafoam and olive digital core kits. I at times change the colors a little to match my layouts. The life card is from persnickety prints. Obviously food is always a big topic in my life given all the food my husband Richard cooks.
Here is the right hybrid side. The arrow on the top left was a studio calico stamp that I stamp on some scrap paper and used stickers to make my title. I am part of the cocoa daisy monthly kit club and many of the stickers and papers come from various kits. This bits and pieces of life card is from the snap collection at simple stories. I love them as they are perfect fillers when I do not have enough pics. I am seeing more and more project life kit clubs popping up and am currently on a waiting list for one.

Its been a busy week, work never lets up, story of my life. My arm continues to heal, I am still stuck in a sling and it hurts more now than it did...
Below is the rest of my week two layout, the title page I already posted.. The star of the week is my obsession with circus animal cookies!
I did give a sewing lesson to Rachie and Debbice and Downton Abbey started again.simple stories 12 x 12 pocket pages.
I can't wait to get my hands on them. Loving Project Life.

Project Life Week Two is in full swing. I am continuing with doing digital on one side of the layout and then hybrid on the other. By doing digital on one side, it allows me to pull in pics and type some journaling throughout the week, getting items off my mind and the creative process is what keeps me sane. This week I did blur out some of my journaling as there are people in my life that do not like their name or anything about them posted publicly so I must respect their wishes, but documenting my experiences with them is a big part of my life.
This week I used the digital edition of project life for the filler title card, and journaling card. I bought both the olive edition and the sea foam edition digitally. I found in the last two years I had so much of the core kit left over as I use a bunch of random items in my kit, so having it digitally allows me to customize it more, even adjusting colors to meet my needs. I am really looking forward to the new kits coming out in may too. I love to mix and match. The keep calm and snap on was a freebie set I downloaded from Jennifer Hignite, the arrow I made myself and the Tuesday card is from Ali Edwards Hello Life series which you can also cut out on your silhouette. I am trying this year to use one main journaling font which I picked American typewriter and for my Weekly title cards I am using Ali Edwards Font. Something else I am gonna try to do is use more paper in mini layouts as I am a member of the Cocoa Daisy kit club, and these kits are piling up, so I want to get a little more hands on as well. I love getting new stuff in a little matching kit. However I am thinking I may join a project life kit club next year and am currently on the waiting list for this kit club as it will fit into my project life a little better. Pintrest has lots of cute ideas when I need any inspiration.
I hope to keep posting throughout the years. I would love to get on a design team for project life, but realize now my work schedule is just too demanding to allow me to do so... Maybe in retirement, when ever that will be.

IN 2011 Richard learned to make pretzels with my friends Nancy and Sara. They do this annually and because of my work schedule I can never help. This year Richard wanted to make them with me. He is on this quest for the past few months to spend more time with me.... I am still trying to get used to it since we have never been one of those couples who spend all their free time together.
So this year I humored him and made pretzels with him. It was fun and I was able to get a couple shots which were the base of my first digital layout of 2013. I spent an hour putting the layout together, a little more difficult one handed as I am but fun none the less. I have completed my project life for 2012 and am starting my 2013 edition which will be a little more digital I believe this year. Here's to 2013 memories...

So each Friday I want to wake up with a smile on my face knowing that I accomplished another week of hard work and look forward to the adventures of the weekend. Its going to be a spectacular 2013.

Hello 2013. What a year you will be.... I hope to make this year simplified. Filled with new adventures both with my family and with friends. I hope this is a year of health and happiness. I hope this year is filled with those people who understand and love me for who I am... I know it will be a year of continued hard work, I know no other way. I want to work less and smile more. I hope its a year of verbal communication not by technology... I hope to turn my phone off and my life on.... So here is to 2013. May it be FABULOUS!
