Today a New Chapter Opens

This is the house I grew up in.
My parents bought it when i was two years old. There are many hidden secrets like holes in the wall behind mirrors, writing inside the closets, treasures buried in the backyard.
My parents moved in with me in 2008. We added on to our house to make them their own little wing with a bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and living room. They are getting older, my dad is 85 and my mom is 77. It was Richards idea if you can believe it. It would be easier for them and closer to one of the kids to take care of them. Since only Lindy and I live here, I was the obvious choice as Lindy (sow) still has young children.

By the time we got the remodel done and they moved in and put the house on the market, the market starting taking a nose dive. So for a year Garrett lived in this old house and then my nephew, my sisters oldest, Terry moved it. He is quite Handy and decided to buy the house. So today the papers where signed and the keys transferred.

While my parents I believe are happy, they seem sad too which I can understand. Their home is not gone, though still in the family and they are stuck living with me! LOL. I see it as a new chapter. The house will live through Terry and I am certain new wonderful things are in store for it and my parents have a little nest egg and now more worries or bills, I hope they realize that. So today I am happy for all involved! Congratulations Terry on your new home and Welcome Home mom and Dad!!

Why I am so Lucky

Well as March approaches I wanted to add a little green to my blog and say a few words about How lucky I am!!!

Everyone that knows me will say, I am lucky as I have a husband who does so much for me! I agree he does do a lot for me. He does all the grocery shopping and cooking. Even though Its all fattening, at least I don't have to do it.

Lately he has done a lot around the house with painting and fixing things as well as a lot around my office. If I had to pay someone to do it, I would be broke. So I am LUCKY to have him.

I am lucky for family. My family loves me without question no matter how "high maintenance" I may be.

I am lucky to have a boss who is my best friend. He will tell who that I am a hand full. I am moody and at times his patience is tested. But in turn he has his strongest supporter, always there helping and working with and for him. I am lucky to have such a friend.

I am lucky to have friends who love me for what I do and not what I say. I am pretty black and white and say what is on my mind whether you like it or not. I can't pretend, its not in me.

I am lucky to have two children who love me, support me and are successful in their own right. They are the rewards for all the hours I work and worth it all.

Why are you lucky? I would love to hear why.

Another busy day tomorrow, but dinner and drinks at the Padre so I will have something to look forward too!!!!!

My sweet little Chipper "Baby"

I have two Bengal Cats. One is a monster named Roaree (richies cat) and then there is my sweet little baby- Chipper. Named after chipper jones, Garrett and Richard's favorite baseball player. Chipper is sweet and lovable. He is bowlegged and clumsy, which is so funny for a cat. He loves his head scratched and he loves his mama.
I think he is the CAT's Meow. So love this little guy.

I Heart This

I have two children. My oldest Garrett is 24 years old, a graduate of Cal Poly San Luis, a homeowner and works in banking. My youngest, Rachel is 22 years old, a college SR at Cal State Long Beach and the sweetest person you will ever meet. They are my polar opposites. Yesterday on Valentines Day I heard from them both.

I always get my sweeties something special for Valentines Day from both Richard and I, but they know its primary from their Mama. There is nothing so fierce as a mothers love. I would do anything for either one of them.

Rachel called me two days ago to wish me Happy Valentines Day. We talk couple times per week and currently are planning her graduation from college trip to Europe. She is smarter than even I give her credit for. She puts a lot of thought into all her decisions. She has a great life ahead of her. I love her very much!

Garrett, surprised me today by bringing me these.

He obviously does not pay attention to my blog so he didn't know I was at the coast. He took a picture of the flowers and messaged me with it with the text "I don't want Dad getting credit for these!" So when I got home i smiled as he actually thought of someone else besides himself. Thou chipper thought they were for him too!

My valentines day ended with a lamb chop, shrimp stuffed potatoes along with a yummy "the devil" lemon pie made especially for me by my hubby. I really do not appreciate him as much as he appreciates me. I am one lucky lady!

I'm a Rockstar

Finishing my valentines weekend at the coast before I head home to see my sweetie, who is cooking me a special Valentine dinner. Last night I was a rockstar at rockband. It was so fun, I am seriously thinking about getting this LOL. Such fun, harder than it looks and can't wait to play it again!!!!!
This layout was based on a free template available at Designer Digitals. Inspired by the movie Valentines day. I added a few things. Love it.

Sweet Saturday

Boy after a week I have had, a little R & R is just what the doctor ordered. I loaded up my mom and dad in my sexy car and headed to pismo to see my sister DeDe. We stopped at Margies Diner for a little grilled biscuits breakfast and now for some scrap time. I plan on taking my mom and DeDe for pedicures this afternoon. The sun is shining and the ocean is sparkly. Maybe I can talk my sissy into sunset beach pics?????

But before I log off for some scrap time, I must praise my hubby Richie on this valentines weekend. As most of you know he has not been working since May. Well I should say working at a regular job. He has been working at taking care of me. Which he has been doing for several years now since the kids went off to college. He cooks all my dinners, does all the grocery shopping and even comes to the office and does all the maintenance around there and the costco runs. Last week he started on a couple projects around the house. Our bedroom and guest room. He painted the rooms and installed new carpet and blinds. Here is a sneak peak. I am still waiting on the curtains to go over the new wood blinds (Richard's request) and then the new bedding will be placed. All that's left will be the new flat panel TV and media chest for the bedroom.

The guest bedroom has a new bed, paint, carpet and bedding.

Lastly he did bring me flowers to the office yesterday for valentines day. So pink and pretty.
What was super surprising is he brought another dozen roses and gave each girl in the office a rose for Valentines day. So sweet and so not like Richie!

Okay had a second

Had a second and thought I would whip up a little lovey dovey background and header. The background was a freebie from House of 3 and I had already bought the brushes and banners so whipped up the header. I love it.

Promise more to blog tomorrow.

Can't Post

Work too busy with Taryn gone, thus no time for posting. Promise I will this weekend.
