Candra would be proud

Well I do not have quite the eye that Candra has, but I do try hard and I think I am getting better. I will be the first to admit I copied and borrowed some stuff from her recent baby shoot today. My great niece was in town for a visit and I could not wait to get this leopard tutu on her or lay her on my favorite blankie that Suzanne made me. Thou it was a struggle wrestling it away from Zoey Lou! Here are a few shots for you to gander at. It was alot of fun.

Thanks Candra, you are such an inspiration.

My Boy is Growing up

Just when I got used to the fact he bought his first new car all by himself, he goes off and gets himself a house!

Garrett graduated last year from Cal Poly, he spent 10 hard months finding a job in this economy. Since he started at San Joaquin Bank, he has been working toward the goal of buying his first house before the November 31st deadline for the 8000 bonus money.

Of course he needed my husbands help in finding the house. He was disappointed at first as it was discouraging with the junk he was looking at. With the help of Jill from the McCarty group, this past Sunday, he walked into "THE ONE". The house is a great little house. Five years old and was redone with new paint, carpet and tile. It even has a BBQ island out back and that's the one thing Garrett does well. So here are a few pictures of this little special place my son will call home.

Here he looks scared! LOL Thats Jill, his realtor!

AND THE BIGGEST DECISION: 32 OR 37 INCH FLAT SCREEN TV. WHICH WILL FIT?

His dad and I are so happy for him. Secretly I am scared. Such responsibility at 24! But if I stop and think at his age, I was married, had two kids and was a nurse, so I guess he'll be okay. Now off to shop for the new house, do I hear LEOPARD towels?

Little Lucy

I put together a little baby book as a gift for my masseuse Amy. She is having a girl and her name is Lucy. I was really feeling black and pink, with a little leopard and zebra mixed in. The pictures do not do it justice and it turned out so cute, if I do say so myself. Here is a little preview.

Week in summary

Well this has been a busy week. While Tommy was out of town, I still had bunches to do. Work never ends for me. On Friday I had a colonoscopy and all went well. Nothing bad found and hopefully I can move forward with figuring out my IBS. The prep was brutal!!!!!!! I had a house full of family Friday night and Richie made his baked spaghetti. It was yummy for sure especially since I had not eaten in two days!! Saturday dawned to a day of scrappin. I spent half a day with Nancy Sutherland and Nancy Carr and the second half with Heather and her mom. Heather is my son, Garrett's girlfriend. I did not get much personal scrappin done, but did help along my friends which brings me a lot of fun.

Today we looked at some houses with my son Garrett, who we are helping locate a house before the November 31st deadline! gotta get some of that government incentive money, since I have paid so much into them!!!! I think we found the winner today and we will all keep our fingers crossed. Afterwards Richie and I went to see him mother who we moved to a dementia home one month ago. She seems to like her place and they are treating her well. No change in her mental status but I didn't expect any. Thus conversation was minimum.
I will leave you with a couple of photo collages of my Vegas trip. This week will be super swamped and not sure if I will get back to the blog anytime soon. Have a happy week.

Back to the Ole Grind

Came back safe and sound from Vegas last night. Up early and into work to trudge through all the messages. This week is somewhat more relaxed as Tommy is out of town. Candice, Rachel and I had a super time in Vegas. We drank, gambled, ate good food and saw Jersey Boys. That show was Fabulous!!! Another highlight was the dueling piano bar at Palazzo, right outside Jersey Boys theater. I am telling ya, we had sooooooooooooooooooooooo much fun. I will post more pictures later, but ifs safe to say, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, if ya know what I mean. I came home to my little Zoey lou who ran to my duffel bag and dragged out her (my) blankie. I told her no no, auntie Suzanne is making you your own so back off!!!. Its nice to spend time with my Rachie, and seeing Candice let loose was the best thing EVER!!!!

I came home to an email that a columnist on Shutterfly made mention of my baseball book. You can see the article here. So its a step closer to getting published!!! Well back to work. I am having a little minor procedure Friday so you may not hear much from me the rest of the week as I prep for it. UGH. All I can say is Vodka is a clear liquid!!!!!!!!!!

Oh Zoey Lou

As I posted a couple of days ago, I received a FABULOUS new leopard minkie blanket. I brought it home and showed my hubby. He looked at it said that's nice (in a guy sort of way). I sat it down on my bed and walked into the the bathroom. When I came back Zoey was lying on it ribbon and all. I said no zoey that's Mama's.

The next day I took it back to work with me as I need to show my pal Debbie, well really to make her super jealous LOL. I brought it home last night and I love the bow so much I sat it on my bed still wrapped up. I continued on my nightly routine and heard Zoey growling. I walked into the bedroom and she has teeth bared at my black lab Chole. She was protecting her blankie. Jeez. I put it on my nightstand and told her to knock it off.
Well ...... I come home tonight to this

The blankie had been moved into my daughter's room and while still wrapped up, had been ruffled.

Well all I can say, is I cannot say no to these little brown eyes. I guess I will have to get zuzanne to make her a little blankie of her own as this ones heading to VEGAS in the morning!!!!!!!

I guess I still have a little baby.

Suzanne is Fabulous

Had little surprise today, that made my week. It is a special blankie made by Suzanne Zinng. She owns strawberry patches and she has the most gorgeous fabrics, ribbons and all kinds of fun things. I love Love this blankie. I have already had to shoo away my little zoey lou. Her little brown eyes stared back at me and I almost gave in, But alas all this yummy softness is for me!!

Now I am off with my blankie to my new sleep number bed for a restful slumber

A Great New Typography Website

I am in San Diego visiting my sissy Foo Foo. She is a graphic artist and showed me this new website to make a word arty for ya out of your own words in minutes. I made this one quickly that in a round about way says this cool website makes wordart from your own words. The site is called Wordle and found here Enjoy

Awh Felicity

I finished Felicity's bow layout. Felicity is the other half of the Sutherland twins. She laughed and laughed and loved the bow's, in fact she had both the bows on and captured in these shots. Her sweet smile melts my heart melt.

Just one word: TWINS!

I bought a couple of super cute hair bows for Charity and Felicity Sutherland today. My goal: take a cute pic of the girls with their new super cute hair bows. Well easier said than done. Getting two toddlers in the same place looking the same way IMPOSSIBLE. But I got a couple of cute ones. Lesson learned today, my aperture was too open narrowing my field causing some blurriness. I need to slow down, but when they are whipping those head bands off its so hard to stop LOL But their beautiful eyes say it all .

Yes this one is blurry but sooo cute

And Big Sissy Trinity had to play too!
